Do you know Shimane and Yamaguchi in Japan?

Each region of Japan has many attractions of its own.
Last week I traveled to Shimane and Yamaguchi prefectures!

Yamaguchi Prefecture has the history of the Battle of Dannoura, the last battle between the Genji and Heike clans, which took place in Shimonoseki at the end of the Heian period (794-1185).

In Hagi City, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Japanese castle town.
In Shimonoseki City, you can enjoy fresh fish dishes and sushi at the market.

The spot in the photo is called “Beppu Benten Pond”.

These pictures were not doctored!
This pond is made of spring water.
The reason for its clear blue color is still unknown….
It is magical!

Even today, it is still used as drinking water and other domestic water by local residents.

The spot in the photo is “Motonosumi Shrine” in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The shrine is lined with many torii gates, the symbol of the shrine.

What is interesting is that Usually there is usually a money-offering box in front of the shrine deity But At this shrine, money is thrown into a box high up in the air. It is said that if the money is put in the box, your wish will come true.

I did challenge but I can’t in it…challenge again Next time.

Delicious meals and countryside experience

Shimane Prefecture is a famous tourist spot for “Izumo-taisha Shrine” and hot springs.
It is about an hour and a half drive from the tourist spots. A friend of mine runs a restaurant in Shimane Prefecture.

The laid-back countryside with its traditional Japanese countryside scenery will refresh your spirit!

Vegetables and eggs from chickens grown next to the restaurant, and a handmade space in a renovated old house.

I was given a fresh egg as a souvenir, so I made an Japanese style rolled omelet.
Can you see how colorful they are?

There are many wonderful spots in Japan.
You should definitely visit them!
